Books and game apps for travel anxiety

As mentioned in a few of my other posts, I love to travel, however, I get very bad travel anxiety. Therefore, I like to have "comfortable" entertainment when at the airport and on the airplane. What I mean by comfortable is something (such as books, movies, shows, games) that can 1) distract my mind, as well as 2) make me feel content and happy. This way I can be in the right mindset when traveling and not have any unnecessary anxiety when traveling, on top of the usual (checking in, lines, screaming kids).

While I have another post dedicated to shows and movies for traveling, this post contains books and gaming apps (for your phone) that allow you to escape from the current mindset and get sucked into entertainment, or just become engulfed in happiness through reading and playing a game.

Regarding gaming apps, I will give you an example of one that I use, called Find the Difference. This app has you click the difference between two pictures. There are also different levels. On a flight a few months back from Milwaukee to Savannah (roughly 2.5 hours), on one level (it was gummy worms haha and finding the difference between two pictures of gummy worms), I was playing that level for the majority of the flight. It distracted me so much from the actual aspect of travel, that I didn't even realize we were making our final descent into Savannah.

Also, my books that I read, for the last two years, have been through Kindle Unlimited, so these books can all be found on the KU app. Also note that on the list below, I put a "P" next to any book that is a psychological thriller, as these might raise your heartrate reading them, which could potentially trigger anxiety, however, I put them on the list, because they are all super fast reads, that suck you in from the start to distract your mind.
